Acho que esse é um bom jeito de se descrever todo o talento que esteve contido na então garotinha que saía de Detroit para o mundo aos 18 anos de idade, para futuramente se tornar a Rainha do Soul. Há quem discorde de que Aretha Franklin seja a maior voz feminina, mas mesmo essas pessoas não ousam duvidar da beleza de sua voz, do refinamento de sua técnica e da emoção de suas interpretações.

Rare & Unreleased Recordings From The Golden Reign Of The Queen Of Soul é uma coletânea lançada em 2007 e que reúne algumas raridades do período em que Franklin se consolidou como Rainha do Soul, entre os anos 60 e 70 - reconhecidamente seu ápice. Só vieram parar aqui os outtakes, as demos e as versões alternativas de grandes clássicos como "I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You)" ou "Rock Steady". Algumas versões são ainda rudimentares, esboços do que viriam a ser oficialmente, mas esta compilação é, na minha opinião, fundamental para os colecionadores tanto de soul music em geral, quanto de Aretha Franklin em especial.
